Part of your dues goes to the TDW Political Action Committee.  The TDW PAC does not donate to federal candidates (President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. Congress).  Instead, targeted donations are given to statewide, Texas Senate, and Texas House candidates (usually women).  It is critically important that Democrats take control of the Texas Senate and House by 2010 so that they can take the lead on redistricting after the 2010 census.  Texas Democrats also need a louder voice in the U.S. Congress, so TDW members are encouraged to donate to our candidate for U.S. Senate, Rick Noriega, and to our candidates for U.S. Representative.  A list of candidates who will appear on the ballot in Bexar County is included in this newsletter.
